(Usually losing the mute button) Select SAM on, the display shows "SAM on", while this is on the display you can then start to set the SAM % using the volume control. It will stay on SAM % controlled by the volume control until you hit the normal power on / off button to toggle out of the SAM on / off mode.
Thanks confused

Indeed I have the mute button configured to SAM on/off but it was never clear nor documented anywhere that dialing the volume knob some SAM on is displayed would control SAM %

Thanks again

An update, actually this does not appear to work anymore ! However, what does work is per @vivialet's post, i.e. Set one button to tone controls, srcroll through bass / treble through to SAM, from here the volume control sets SAM %. My apologies for the duff information earlier!

Thanks!
That is one amazing function I must say. From the speakers I've heard with SAM the quality of the bass was the least impressive effect with SAM as clarity and coherence over the whole spectrum was the real eye opener.
On Monday I will try Raidho X1 and hopefully SF Guarneri Evo.

Cheers/Mike

Where do Devialet describe this on their homepage?

I need to repeat my earlier update and grovelling apology! Actually this does not appear to work anymore ! There is nothing about this on Devialet's website, in fact there is so much that the website fails to cover that it's beginning to look a bit embarrassing.

RE: New speakers SAM ready - petrik - 10-Dec-2014

I just noticed that there is good news for Wilson Benesch owners - Vertex seems to be SAM ready now. Also Vector is going be SAM'd soon.

I hope that they would get SAM also for my Discoverys soon Smile

Great! I've heard good reports of the Vector but will stick with my Discos for now and maybe add a Torus if and when I move them to a larger room. I'm surprised that they haven't SAMd the Square 5s as I understand that they had a pair in La Maison for some time.

I would be very interested to hear what SAM can do to a Disco. The bass is already pretty clean and tight (isobaric drivers) but who knows maybe SAM will radically improve them?

Maybe hope for ACT1s then!

Yeah exactly, it would be really interesting to hear Discoverys with SAM. I bet it would sound spectacular at least... I do have also Vertex speakers at my home (currently as surround speakers in my 5.1 set up) but I thought to try some day how much SAM affects to these speakers. So far (without SAM) I have highly preferred Discoverys over Vertex as main speakers although I do have a small listening room.
