TV Out Optical Question - mtvanc - 22-Dec-2016 Right now I'm using a hdmi switcher with a audio extractor that goes into the speaker. I'm considering switching this so it goes through the tv. So all my HDMI cables plug into the TV and then I use optical out to extract audio. Any issues or downgrade in quality with this approach before I embark on this? I imagine that there might be a drop off in SQ, but I use an optical link between my TV and D and think the sound is excellent. You should find it easy enough to do an A/B comparison. RE: TV Out Optical Question - Jon - 23-Dec-2016 TV might not be able to change volume also Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk RE: TV Out Optical Question - Axel - 24-Dec-2016 (23-Dec-2016, 20:05)Jon Wrote: TV might not be able to change volume also With my Sony TV, the volume control has no effect on the optical output, therefore I turn the volume right down so that there is no sound coming from the TV speakers. Other makes of TV might be different, but I doubt it somehow. Alex. |
