You take care of things from that front.  In my opinion Facebook is what is wrong with society today,  I don't go anywhere near it.

Haha, well, yeah I don't disagree, and don't really use it myself anymore.  Personally I find Twitter and most social media quite similar (except maybe linkedin which has somehow stayed more relevant and slightly less 'me, me, me, me again eating my breakfast')

But its what companies care about because of the volume of people that do use it, making it much harder to ignore.  It's much more embarrassing when corporate shareholders become aware of angry postings.

The key to twitter is follow companies or professional people only.  If you start following friends, celebrities or morons like me it's probably no different than Facebook.

Why would you buy (or wait for) anything based on promises from this company that never delivers on time or communicate about anything? Thus far they -completely suck- at software too so unless your standards are quite low (agentsmith are clearly anything but) you'll not be happy anytime soon with anything they deliver. Perhaps in a few years after several iterations. As long as they insist on developing anything themselves from scratch it'll always be a catching up game. Other parties are moving much faster and doing a much better job as specialists. Would be nice if Devialet would partner up with those companies but why wait for anything uncertain to happen. Please, just move on, there's so much more great stuff out there. Why do we keep rewarding them, with our money, if they don't deliver, listen or change?

To conclude I am very happy with my new stance: I don't expect anything from Devialet and only evaluate at the moment they actually deliver something concrete whether I'd like to use what they delivered.

I am not as critical to them, perhaps because my expectation is lower.  I can understand that they are a growing company probably struggling with multiple ambitious projects.  I wouldn't say that they do not deliver what they promise because so far they have not failed, they may be slow, but they have not failed yet.

They are also super secretive and rarely communicates, even more secretive than Apple.

I am somewhat disappointed that the streamer board are taking so long.  But my understanding is they did promise mid this year.  It is a long wait.  But I am still enjoying the unit they way it is.  I rarely have time to listen to the system anyway, perhaps that makes the wait less painful?

What I am mostly miffed is they seem not to be working on Roon support.  I did talk to my local Devialet gent who is a super nice person.  He did hint to me that they are working on Roon.  And he knew all about Roon and liked the product.  So I would be surprised if they are not working on it at all.

If they are why just dont they say that and most of us waiting for the streamerboard would be happy waiting for it I think or perhaps not happy but more willing to wait for it.

But then again even if we get Roon we dont know anyting about the soundquality so a system with Roon/HQ Player/AIR och Roon/HQ Player/SMS-200/Mutec might still be better but of course at a higher cost.

Its completely fair and reasonable to like the brand, but I believe the above statement's inaccurate.

They have failed with AIR. It's been years and it still doesn't work reliably. That's not late, that's a failure - just one they won't admit (well, in fact they kind of did admit in the petition response).

Didn't they also promise Dialogue compatibility with the Experts? If so that's a failure.

Some say they promised Room Correction, but that was before my time and I didn't see anything written about it.

And they certainly failed to live up to the petition promises.

Unless of course we're allowing them an infinite amount of time to deliver on anything, in which case I suppose technically there haven't been any failures.

Showing half the board. Bit of a tease. They might have a new connection they don't want us to know about yet.

Does it look larger than the old board?

I have to think the Twitter rants worked unless it's a very crazy coincidence Air and a sneak peak of a prototype board appears 1 day later.

Must have....!

The format of the page seems to allow for questions although not in the "thread" format Air 3 thread.
