I live in Perth (Aus) and also never received any email from Devialet. Been in touch with Oceane and she has now included me in the newsletter (don't know why not already part of distribution as previously had both my D-Premiers upgraded to 250Pro's).

Sent an email to Oceane today and she replied below this afternoon (appears the dealers are getting mixed messages about being able to upgrade locally, seems not the case). All information she has given me in the past has been correct so don't want to give her any grief now over the delay as she's only the messenger (she's always been very good at getting back to me).

Cheers
John

John,

The advice I had from my dealer some time ago was that the upgrade would be done locally in Australia but that it would be done by a Devialet technician, not the dealer or anyone local. At this stage who knows what's going on. My dealer doesn't and he says he's getting mixed messages from the distributor, and here we have 2 Devialet staff members giving different advice within 24 hours of each other.

It seems that everyone has a different answer. I confidently predict we'll have an upgrade by Christmas but I refuse to predict by which Christmas we'll have it. I would think, however, that if our amps do have to go back to Paris that it will not be this year simply because we're getting close to Christmas and delivery and shipping times start to blow out significantly at this time of year. If it has to go to Paris I'd rather be sending mine sometime early in the new year because I would expect the time it would be away would be considerably shorter if it is shipped next year rather than between now and Christmas and getting caught up with all of the Christmas shipping and mail.

Devialet technician; last time we had anyone in Perth from Devialet I believe was 4 years ago (last round of SAM in Oz, didn't visit Perth), so wouldn't expect one arriving here for the upgrades.

Regarding the different info being supplied by Devialet employees is that they're certainly consistent (at being inconsistent).

I've got in my head nothing will happen with my Pro's until early next year, but hope the OdA's guys get they're units upgraded ASAP as they sure were stiffed last time around.

RE: Invitation to send your PRO to Paris - petrik - 07-Nov-2017

My discussion with the Devialet support revealed something totally new to me today. Here is a quote from a discussion regarding the Roon Ready / Roon RAAT support. Therefore, I would strongly suggest everyone using the Devialet's official channels when asking for new features like Roon Ready.

Quote:Roon RAAT support: not planned in the roadmap as long as we don't have enough OFFICIAL demands to be able to prioritise it. Our road map is actually based on what experts users ask us in via our OFFICIAL contact channels....Our channels include phone calls, emails, chat, facebook, twitter. On each of these, every time a client or prospect contacts us, we can qualify what he expect from us (features, technical resolution to issue; pre sales info etc).

RE: Invitation to send your PRO to Paris - markush - 07-Nov-2017

Well this is quite lame to say they didn't know about highly demanded features like ROON RAAT, room correction or other ones that are named for a very long time of users.
Anyway please raise your voice here: https://help.devialet.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005417765-Core-Infinity-Log-October-20th
This is especially for Expert Pro / Core Infinity communication!

RE: Invitation to send your PRO to Paris - mdconnelly - 07-Nov-2017

That is lame and hardly true. After all, they've worked with Roon to bring about the Roon AIR implementation. Was that just to appease us? I'm trying hard to be patient and give them a chance to exceed my expectations, but IF that is Devialet's corporate response to Roon RAAT (and not just a canned answer from a support tech), then it speaks volumes as to how far they have their heads stuck in the ground. (or elsewhere ;-)

Still, I'm more than willing to wait and see just what does unfold regarding the Core Infinity board. Lots of chatter here but hardly anything concrete from Devialet with regard to what this board will really bring nor about the logistics to get there.

Devialet is saying that they are implementing features what majority of the Expert customers really want... I have my doubts on this statement Dodgy

But perhaps there is some truth behind? Should we be more active on sending new feature request through their official communication channels?

I think we all should, I've just posted on the 'Core Infinity Log' and would urge all to do so and be heard

Don’t overlook.......Qobuz is French. Might account for certain intended priorities.

There is a delay.

...and it looks like a lot to get fixed up as well.  I reckon another 3-6 months work to get all the bugs ironed out, along with the necessary certification.
Look at all the agro Naim have had with their latest products.  I'll be leaving my Pro as it is for the foreseeable.  I can see the core board breaking more things than it fixes...
