There's an article on the Qobuz site, in French.

I'm definitely interested, but a bit pricey to take up my Zeppelin Air's space in the kitchen. I was thinking about a Naim muso but I think now I'll go Devialet's way.

Qobuz piece about the Phantom, translated to english:

Yes, I think you're spot on there. If this thing comes with built-in support for services like Qobuz, TIDAL, Spotify, Google Play, etc. that would make a huge difference. For what it's worth, streaming these services is what 99% of people on the Sonos forum talk about. Playing one's own music library seems to be quite passé. This is aimed at a slightly different demographic but I guess probably still one that doesn't want to sit down and rip CDs/vinyl or work out how to connect a NAS to play music.

Good write-up on the Phantom in English:

Here

Available from 1st Feb in the UK exclusively in Harrods for 6 months - so not positioned as a mass-market product then...

I like this comment by 'Carbo' on Gizmodo:

« Le bruit d’une fusée au décollage » dans mon salon ?
Non merci…

What would be great should to use the Phantom as sub woofer with our Dev's... Qobuz people were amazed with bass performance of this little box...

All joking aside, if this does sound as good as early reports suggest then it could be a great system for everyday use, though I guess not for immersive listening.

I wish they would provide some information about how music is streamed to the Phantom - the control app, integration with streaming services etc.

It seams that the 'Dialog' is functioning as a router to Connect several 'Phantoms':

Quote:And this is the point: yes, you can wirelessly link up to 24 Phantoms over Wi-Fi using Devialet’s Dialog router for the ultimate party setup, yet due to the prodigious power and lack of need for a sub-woofer (because of the Phantom’s inherent bass supremacy) you only require one or two speakers for quality house-trembling sound.

No mentioning of other functionalities of the 'Dialog' as yet.
