Macbook Sleep Kills Spark - Ken Reede - 17-Dec-2017 I asked this question before and got good suggestions to try, but after trying them, I am now wondering if it is Macbook specific. My issue that even when using Caffeine or AniSleep, whenever I close the lid on my Macbook when running Spark, It will play two songs then quit. Doesn't matter what settings I use for either app. Any others having this problem and figured out a way to solve it? Thanks in advance, Ken RE: Macbook Sleep Kills Spark - K4680 - 17-Dec-2017 Hello, alternatively, there is also external software that allows you to disable the hibernation when the MacBook is closed. However, these tools are not supported by Apple. The stand-by mode in the pop-up state has been specially designed to prevent damage from overheating, such as when the MacBook is transported longer in a bag. A well-known tool to shut down the MacBook without sleep is typically called "NoSleep". Alternatively, you can also use InsomniaX. It is worth a try! https://code.google.com/archive/p/macosx-nosleep-extension/ http://semaja2.net/ye-ol-projects/insomniaxinfo/ RE: Macbook Sleep Kills Spark - Ken Reede - 20-Dec-2017 Makes sense about the overheating in a bag or sleave. I will take a look at your other suggestions. Thanks much. I the meantime I am getting used to using my phone which seems to work fine, but without all the controls of the desktop app. |
