I'm interested in wrapping the sides of my Reactor (not the driver). Seems like I would need to remove the side panels to tuck the wrap behind for clean edges. Does anyone know of any videos or threads about removing the side panels of a Reactor? I have the new mini Phantom called the Reactor so the side panels are white and circle around the driver in a way. Hesitant to try to pry them off without knowing if that’s the correct way to remove them haha RE: Painting Phantoms - Jean-Marie - 14-Jan-2019 Given what Devialet is saying about the phantoms that there is no way to open them and reassemble them together, I would advise you against trying to open them. That would be a one way operation in my humble opinion. That is good advice for sure! Although, it would make sense for them to at least somewhat come apart in order for Devialet to repairs. I'm hoping there's an easy damage-free way to only remove the side panels on the Reactor too but I don't think I have the juevos to make one of my Reactors the guinea pig haha RE: Painting Phantoms - CameronCalifornia - 15-Jan-2019 Update: both panels come off and go back on very easily! Now, what color to vinyl wrap the panels? Gold like the big daddy Phantom? Slightly dark blue? Carbon fiber? Hmm... Painting Phantoms - kmjy - 11-Feb-2019 Paint the front ring too, it comes off and goes back on without any risk of damaging the unit whatsoever. It’s a magnetic object. RE: Painting Phantoms - CameronCalifornia - 29-Dec-2019 Alright everyone, I gave it a shot and vinyl wrapped the side panels of my white Reactor chrome gold and it came out BEAUTIFUL |
