Power cable for Phantom Gold - Cyral - 10-Jan-2018
Hi all,
I was looking for a longer power cable for my Phantom's. Now I saw the audioquest nrg-x3 3meter cable, which when looking at it's length is ideal.
Has anyone experience with different power cables? Is it ok to use different cables? Also, do they make a difference tonal wise?

Yes - and No
I have a 5 metre basic kettle lead on one of mine and I challenge anyone to a double blind test to tell the difference between that and the one it comes with or an expensive audioquest one

I see yes, I also had my doubts about the power cable influencing the sound quality.
Only bought them for the length and build quality.
However, when I asked the devialet support about changing the power cables, they said the stock cables have a surge protector inside. To me they just look like regular power cables. Anyone has insight into this?
