AIR streaming client for Linux - Melville - 09-Nov-2019

Hi all,

I am a Linux SBC user and would love to have a Devialet AIR virtual sound card driver for Linux.
Has anyone contacted Devialet for AIR client source or has Devialet ported AIR virtual sound card to Linux?

Kai

The only known Linux port is Roon's AIR. I doubt that Devialet would make a Linux version of the virtual AIR driver even if the OS on Experts and Phantoms is some sort of Linux.
Roon server can run on Linux, Roon Rock IS Linux, but there is no native Linux remote GUI for Roon. Only Mac and Windows has a full Roon remote and then there is Android and iOS versions for phones and tablets.
A request to Devialet support may clear this up... or not

I have created a ticket with Devialet and hopefully something coming back from them as I personally preferred the sound quality streaming from AIR to Devialet Expert.

I hear good things about UPnP and sound. UPnP is a kludge, I know but it might be worth trying. I also preferred AIR to the others. Now, after several months of using it (and selling my Mutec MC3 + USB/microRendu combo) I think RAAT is better.
