I once heard the combination of Django XL and Devialet D-Premier. It sounded very impressive (airy, spacious Soundstage with impressive lows and vocals). The newest D-series didn't exist yet at that time.
Both Marten Django XL and L do have a SAM Profile nowadays.

As Charlemange mentioned I own a 200 with Dango L combination.
I really like it.
I'm not about vague terms, so can't help you with that
