I do think someone on this forum reported that they will fit with case/cover. I kept the case off since the beginning, not only due to IEC, as I changed cables and plugged in/off the SD cards all the time. My units are mounted in a rack so it does not matter if the are off or on as you can't tell if they are on or off. Pictures at a later stage. /Mike RE: Power Cables - scb - 26-Oct-2014 FYI: original Petit Corona will *not* fit under the back cover of a Devialet 200. Still don't understand why you need 7 AWG power cables on a devise with a factory rating of 6.0 amps at 100-120V and 2.8 amps at 220-240v. The stock power cord is 18 AWG. Unless your power cables are longer than 50 feet, you don't need a 7 AWG power cable to deliver 6.0 amps at 100-120V or 2.8 amps at 220-240v. Hi, For what it matters I do not care if something is made out of jelly beans or what ever and something is 7 or 18 of this or that as long as it does something of a positive impact in my system. In particular power cords serve no sense or logical meaning as such and I gave up some time ago to be rational about this. The proof is in the pudding, try and see (hear) what you think. Many persons I know including one of my friends who is a professional musician no longer deny the effect of the 'right' PC in a system. I have no desire to lay out $1500.US to try the "Petite" 7 AWG Sablons on my 400. I'm going to build some PCs with Nanotec Systems #308 cable and Cardas plugs/IECs. Maybe I can fit some jelly beans inside the connectors. ;-) RE: Power Cables - Mikeeo - 27-Oct-2014 (27-Oct-2014, 06:39)mauidan Wrote:(26-Oct-2014, 19:30)Mikeeo Wrote:(26-Oct-2014, 04:07)mauidan Wrote:(25-Oct-2014, 11:05)Mikeeo Wrote: The S:as I tried (can't remember which ones but not so high on their range) didn't do anything in my system (before Dev though). Well for me the outlay was worth it (even if I think we many times pay ridiculous amount of money on this hobby) in comparison to what the JPS Kaptovators cost per one PC. Just the Schuko and IEC plugs costs 830 USD for consumer so there you have a lot of the cost that is baked into the total cost. Plugs I have found to make a big difference even in mains applications and the Oyaide 004 stand above the rest I tried. Please report back on your findings with Nanotech Cardas combination, the more input and cost effective solutions the better. Jelly beans are magical/Mike RE: Power Cables - ErikM - 13-Nov-2014 I'm curious about what cables besides the ones mentioned so far in this thread have folks tried and any comparisons you may have done. I was using a Shunyata Black Mamba CX/HC that I had previously used on my Ayon amp before the arrival of my 200. I recently got my hands on a Lessloss DFPC Signature and boy what an improvement.. better bass, more dynamic, bigger soundstage..seems to have added some body and warmth. The Lessloss isn't crazy expensive at $1150.00 for a meter, but it punches way above it's weight and it seems to be a very good match to the Devialet in that it's strengths complement the 200 in the right areas, areas that I felt, at least with the Shunyata were a bit lacking. Maybe my question on the other thread is better suited here: Did you also tried your audioquest nrg 1000 powercord on your Devialet? Really interested in what your findings are comparing it to your lessloss signature. RE: Power Cables - ErikM - 13-Nov-2014 I replied in the other thread.. RE: Power Cables - scb - 13-Nov-2014 I currently have a Shunyata Venom PS8 (with defender) fed by a HiDiamond P4. I have a HiDiamond P3 coming off that and into the Devialet (back cover is off). I haven't been able to crank the volume yet to get a real feel for how it performs, but so far so good |
