On some type of music it is excellent (jazz, girl with piano, acoustic guitar). For some other type (Pink Floyd, complex classical) I prefer without (I feel that with SAM I lose on soundstage depth / separation among instruments). What is your experience? How to dial out w remote? I don't see it anywhere. Press on the tone button of the physical remote repeatedly until you see SAM % on the round display of your D200, then dial with the knob to the desired SAM percentage Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk RE: Power Cables - ARL67 - 02-May-2015 For my D200 my power cord choice is the Triode Wire Labs Digital American, either the standard or HD versions of that cord Both of the TWL Digital Americans I have are my #1 and #2 picks. The power cords I have at my disposal : TWL Digital American-HD TWL Digital American Graditech Vioma Essential Sound Products Reference-II Virtual Dynamics Master 2.0-LE I use ( & prefer ) the ESP Ref-2 cords on my Shunyata Hydra-8v2 and Bryston BDP-2. Speakers are Vandersteen Treo-CT. Naturally everyone has their own sonic preference -> system components, listening room contributions, & desired sound that floats their boat. ~ Andy ( Waterloo, Canada ) Power Cables - ledesc - 02-May-2015 Just a quick question, I've not yet my D200 but would like to know what is the maximum size we can use for the IEC plug without removing the back panel of the Devialet ? Thanks ! I would like to know this as I am wondering whether to adapt a Naim Powerline and I know that Chord can fit a smaller Furutech IEC on their Signature mains cables. It was mentioned earlier in the thread that the only Furutech that will fit is the FI-15. The Power-Line works really well with Devialet but I can't see how you 'adapt' one without losing the floating pins in the IEC connector which are probably a key part of its success. If you can figure that out then I would be keen to hear about it RE: Power Cables - Ants - 07-May-2015 Just purchased a modestly priced Shunyata Venom HC for the Devialet 120 and initial impressions is that this power cable having a positive impact. Bass is bigger with more details, clearer vocals and just more micro details being heard. It should (hopefully) sound better after a break in period but the difference over the stock cable is apparent. I do not have a dedicated line but did install a Hubbell 8200 outlet some time ago. Not a massive investment for a immediate upgrade and the IEC connector allows me to the keep back panel. Power Cables - BjornWiman - 16-May-2015 I am also using Shunyata - the Alpha HC powercord for my D250. It took a couple of days to settle but after that it performs fantastic. Soundstage, timbre, dynamics - everything improved compared to my previous powercord. Skickat från min iPad med Tapatalk Power Cables - osokolo - 17-May-2015 A slight detour all you PC freaks. New to Devialet and need to know if I should use Furman IT-reference balanced conditioner with 200. If yes - which bank? Power Amp or Digital/Analog? If not - why not and what do I need since I live in condo building where power is not that clean. Thanks |
