I am excited about Vertere cables! They also have a great power cable too: https://vertereacoustics.com/product/pulse-hb/pulse-hb-mains-power-cable/
Anyone already got experience with it?

After pretty many trials and less good results I also tried Triode Wire Labs HDPA. They´ve such a natural flow, both smooth and powerful. Like ZZ Top in ballet shoes.  Smile  TWL are well balanced with a really nice resolution. My speakers are little shy in the top end but with TWL in combination with Nordost Frey 2 SC (surprisingly enough) the harmony is there. Will compare TWL with some Shunyata further on.

I've tried many different power cords over the years from the high-priced to home grown. Before coming across Triode Wire Labs, I'd say may favorites were Shunyata and JPS - but the best cables from these manufacturers are quite pricey. When I found Triode Wire Lab (TWL), I quit looking at all others. Exceptionally good power cords at very reasonable prices. I'm using the HPDAs on my 440 Pro and extremely happy with them.

Hi M, you were right. The TWL HPDA PCs sound like I´ve upgraded the amps. Pretty mind blowing.

RE: Power Cables - zdenes - 29-Aug-2017

My amps are in a very visible place, on top of a rack in between the speakers. I want to keep the back cover on. I wonder how you guys do that with these aftermarket power cords. The IEC plugs are typically too big. TWL is the same. This is the main reason I have to go DIY.  Sad

Hi Zoltan

I´ve no problem to make TWL HPDA fit under the cover.

Hi Jonas,

On their homepage, they seem to have new plugs. They specifically say that this was engineered for them.

Maybe I can order with custom IEC plugs, Furutech perhaps. The other thing for me is that I am in Europe and to their reasonably priced cables I have to add shipping, import duties, and 27% VAT, so it makes the cable 50% more expensive. I wonder if it is still a good choice for that price.
What other cables have you compared to on the Devialet?
Thanks,
Zoltan

RE: Power Cables - Jonas - 29-Aug-2017

TWL wrote that the connector was a slim-line Furutech FI-C15(G) C13 IEC. Will use it as a benchmark and compare with other PCs during the 30 days trial period. So far I listen to Wireworld Power Silver Electra 7, Supra LoRad 2.5 CS-EU, Nordost Heimdall 2 and Red Dawn LS. Trying to find Shunyata Delta EF in Scandinavia but it aint easy.
Cheers, Jonas

I'm also using the slimline Furutech termination on my TWL HPDA cords and it fits the Devialet perfectly under the back lid. TWL has quite a few Devialet customers and this is the termination they recommend. While it is not as pretty as the standard TWL terminations, it is a high-quality termination that works, and more importantly, sounds great. No hesitation recommending it.

Note that they do occasionally have demo cords available, so it's always worth contacting Pete (the owner) to see what's available.

Anyone compared Synergistic Devialet Spec Atmosphere Power versus Nordost Frey2 or Tyr2?
I use Nordost Frey speaker cables 5 years now, and love them (replaced Naim Naca5s).
I confirm comments made earlier in this thread that the Synergistic cable is a perfect match for the Devialet. Excellent performer, opens up the sound considerably, with a slight warmer bias. Instantly noticeable difference from other cables and certainly better than cheaper Synergistic cables. Problem is it's thick and rather inflexible for my limited space back of my rack.
