Fyi, another week passed without a resolution for this issue... or the provision of any useful information besides « we are working on it ».

Pretty incredible how 1.8 has changed my perception of Roon for the worse.

They realize the impossible feat of making Devialet look like a competent software developer.

So sorry to hear your problems. It’s got to be frustrating. Is the problem specific to Linux implementations of Roon Core or is there something else going on in your setup? (Or do they even know)?

It appears to be a problem with all the Linux versions using ZFS.

At least it’s what appears from the support thread over on the Roon forum.

No way to know whether this theory is correct since there was zero feedback about the root cause.

Me too... it’s been 11 days since start of QA testing of this fix... and many users are still stranded without music...

This is becoming extremely frustrating...

Has the way Devialet treats their customers infected Roon?

@bernardl - I totally understand your frustration, but... Roon is miles beyond Devialet when it comes to customer communication and their forums show that. With that said, I really expected to see an update from Roon this past week. My guess is that the beta testing revealed issues not yet fixed. But unlike Devialet, we know they’re actively working on it.

Still, being dead in the water is unacceptable. Unless you’re a lifetime customer, I hope they at least extend your license by however long your downtime is.
