I think Devialet should take a leaf out of Dan’s book. Then we’d have a remote with a proper readout. Been Devialet-less for some time now but remember fondly my D440's...have a preamp now that is near the price of the Devialet and it's remote, albeit in sculpted aluminum, is a POS compared to the wonderful radio controlled Devialet...I see this site is still a little too grumpy and I was one of them, no doubt, but consider how great the Expert series are and the remarkably unique innovation in the design. A readout would have be good but imagine the power draw, etc... Cheers to All RE: imitation is the sincerest form of flattery - JFX - 03-Nov-2021 When it comes to remote I must say the remote Vinnie Rossi has created for their new line of amps is just striking and looks amazing to use! The question is if I would´t change my Devialet 1000 Pro to Vinnie Rossis creation if I just had the money but the budget would shoot over twice than the price of my Devialet´s plus I would need also a Riia and Dac plus all the connections for that! https://www.vinnierossi.com/collection/ Play the film clip and u will see the remote and how it works RE: imitation is the sincerest form of flattery - BoyScout - 03-Nov-2021 (03-Nov-2021, 14:51)JFX Wrote: When it comes to remote I must say the remote Vinnie Rossi has created for their new line of amps is just striking and looks amazing to use!Marvelous looking, those pre, power and remote, from Vinnie Rossi, but how much it costs? Certainly a lot and... how they sound? They don't come for pocket money I did find this price list not sure if its correct! Brama Preamplifier – $33,995 Brama Stereo Power Amplifier – $33,995 Brama Integrated Amplifier – $38,995 RE: imitation is the sincerest form of flattery - Jean-Marie - 04-Nov-2021 Sweet, only 2.5 times the price of a D1000 for 1000 times the THD.... A real bargain IMHO. Jean-Marie RE: imitation is the sincerest form of flattery - JohnnySix - 04-Nov-2021 I always found Dan D'Agostino amps to provide the best sound at any of the HiFi shows I used to go to. RE: imitation is the sincerest form of flattery - devianet - 05-Nov-2021 More realistically, I'd settle for an upgrade of the smartphone app to have the exact same functionality as the existing remote + screen combination. So the same 4 buttons available, and redisplay of exactly what's on the Expert screen on the app. No expense of producing new hardware and no power draw issues to worry about. |
