Arch noise + standby option? - Walzu - 11-Feb-2022 Hi all! Yesterday I finally got my Arch. Setup was easy, but unfortunately there is an annoying hum/hiss noise audible starting around 60% volume. It gets worse at higher volumes. At first I was thinking there was a grounding issue, but the noise is also present when my turntable is not connected (so nothing connected to the Arch inputs). Is anybody else also experiencing this? One other thing that I've noticed is that my Phantoms don't go into sleep/standy mode once the Arch is connected. I can hear a constant hiss when the turntable is not playing. Is this normal? Is there a way to turn off the Arch? Thanks in advance! I don't know if you can turn off the Arch, but the speakers should go into standby if you select another input or mute the speakers. RE: Arch noise + standby option? - invictus005 - 11-Feb-2022 I had similar issues with the ARCH. Here’s what fixed it. Make sure the Phantom speakers, ARCH, and turntable are all on the same power strip. Unplug ARCH, plug it back in, and let it reset. Is it quiet now? So you don’t have any hiss/humm when you turn volume to 70% with default settings (sensitivity 5mV)? RE: Arch noise + standby option? - st33f - 27-May-2024 Anyone found a solution? RE: Arch noise + standby option? - st33f - 08-Jun-2024 What work's for me is to turn off arch via app and turn it back on and voila. Not the best experience but, hey at least it works RE: Arch noise + standby option? - st33f - 07-Jul-2024 Another thing I noticed is that if any other source was playing and I switched to arc, noise was there. So for me, I have to stop whatever I'm planning then switch to ARC and 99% of time, no noise. If there's noise, I have to turn off arc via iOS devialet app (why is that option not available on android beats me) and turn the on button it arc = no noise. RE: Arch noise + standby option? - dunga - 17-Apr-2025 After the Firmware-Update to 2.18.2 in January the possibility to turn off arch via app (iOS) is not possible anymore. Devialet Support don't give a sh... about it, and closed the Support request after 2 Months of their complete inactivity. They told me to plug the powercable instead - omg. |
