my Devialet 440 Pro led - jackyan - 22-Jan-2024
When my Devialet 440 Pro is in standby mode, only one machine has an LED screen with information, while the other machine does not display it. I've been using it for many years, don't you know if this is normal?

This happens on my 440 Pro as well, so I suppose it’s normal.

I think this behavior is actually caused by one or two bugs in the dual-mono configurator:
- If the master is powered off, then the companion is on standby (not powered off). This can be solved by using the trigger cable.
- The display brightness settings per audio source are saved in the master configuration, but not in the companion configuration.

But when configuring the 440 Pro, there is no need to connect the trigger cable by default. You can see the configuration diagram above. Thank you for your reply

Yes, I know this is the normal configuration / usage in the configurator. Forcing the use of the trigger cable is a workaround so that the master and companion are in the same power state.

The main device can be triggered, but there are no optional settings for the secondary device. How should I operate it? thanks

You have to activate an input from the companion and the trigger cable connection will automatically appear in the configurator.

Open AES input and a connection of 3.5 will appear. Is this the correct setting?

You are really amazing. I have been using the 440 Pro for 5 years and it wasn't until today that I finally figured out the problem that has been bothering me. Thank you very much.
