Direct Ethernet connection not supported - booshtukka - 18-Sep-2024
I’ve just had it confirmed from a Devialet employee that direct Ethernet connection between speakers is not a feature. If you want to use Ethernet you will need a hub or switch.

That is weird, previsouly seen posts that state the opposit saying it confimred by Devialet that it IS supported for both Phantom I and II. I got rid of the drop out issues I had prior to doing it.

I saw those posts too and gave equally bad advice. I was corrected. And it makes sense - negotiating a direct network connection would require extra hardware and programming.

indeed that would have been amazing... keeping in mind how the music source gets to the master speaker as well... Also keeping in mind the lower the latency the better... SPDIF direct is the best, then LAN Ethernet , then wifi, BT...
Has anyone done that?
