Audio issues with the Dione - angelcxc - 02-Oct-2024
I am having some problems with my Devialet Dione, I have noticed that when there is Dolby Atmos, Dolby DD, Dolby DD+ or 5.1.2 spatial mix and the volume is at 50% or more, there is a white noise coming from the center channel at some specific point of the music or content that is being streamed, I noticed that this happens when there are low frequencies in the music or content, when the music is more classical this does not happen but when the music or movie has some very low frequencies below 40 Hz or so like explosions or wind noise in a video, the noise starts every time a low-frequency effect kicks in. when the sound settings are set to stereo or music everything sounds fine but when i switch to spatial mode the problem shows up
also, when watching youtube videos in stereo or music mode, there is a "pop" noise coming from the woofers when the content has low frequencies like the wind hitting the mic
all this happens no matter the source of the content, airplay, hdmi, bluetooth etc.
Does anyone have a similar problem with their Dione? it could be a hardware or firmware issue? I already restarted and restored the Dione several times.io

Seems like a hardware problem, you should contact Devialet support or the store where you bought it.
