Yes I know, the most favorite input for the Devialet would be the AES/EBU, but I own the 140 Pro and this input is missing. So, to help in the choice of the streamer, which one should I consider as best (USB, SPDIF...)?

USB gives you dsd, which I don't think any other option besides ethernet do? I also believe that some makers of streamers recommend USB, like Innous.

With UPnP DSD doesn't work. With Roon it does.

No, I prefer PCM. The DAC in the Devialet can not process DSD natively

I am up-scaling everything to DSD for few months and I am very happy with it.

My system has benefited a lot from sending the DSD packages over PCM vs regular PCM streaming. Now the signal goes from my streamer to Devialet as DSD packages and Devialet converts it to PCM 40bit as they explained in the white paper. I am happy with it because the resolution is quite higher and the noise level is way lower for my system.
I am using Audirvana on a Mac Mini and upscale everything to DSD before sending it to Devialet.

For most people I don't think it matters much if you're able to use DSD. Since I have more than a few SACDs on my harddrive, I think it is a nice option however. I think most streamers have an option to try different outputs?

if you convert PCM to DSD you loose 6db volume, and the Devialet converts it back to PCM. For the same volume as with PCM you have to turn the volume up by 6db.
If your source is 16 or 24 bit the result will not have a bigger resolution as long as you are not using a good upsampler like HQPlayer.
Using the DSD option only makes sense if you have original DSD files. Otherwise you introduce two format changes which is never good...
I tried all these options for PCM files and keeping PCM was always the best option.

Most of your comment I agree with but "two format changes which is never good..." I think this piece mainly depends on your system.
I use Audirvana on Mac Mini (2018) and transfer the music via a USB cable to Devialet. I think somehow the noise I have on PCM is higher than DSD and I decided to stick with it.
Coming back to 6db volume loose, I don't mind that as exactly because of that reason I upgraded to 440 Pro and I am super good with -30db to -20db range with my speakers with DSD.

Two format changes of course only for PCM. You first convert to DSD and the Devialet converts it back to PCM.
