Maybe we somehow get the chance to get an update so we can stream directly from Qobuz app to the devialet Expert.

Managed to have Qobuz Connect link to my Wattson Audio Emerson Digital Streamer that feeds my 440-Pro CI via AES.
Immediate impressions were of a wide, deep immersive full-bodied soundstage with dark background.
More evaluations necessary to understand how it compares with Roon.

I was very much surprised that my Lumin U2 Mini with a Farad Super6 and an AQ Dragon Source power cord connected via Network Acoustics Muon2 AES/EBU sounded via Qobuz Connnect even better than JPlay or Roon!
I guess it makes a difference how vendors integrate the Qobuz Connect but so far it has a great audio performance potential. So hope Devialet is finally updating their devices too to support this e
major feature.

I asked devialet their plans a few times and to date it’s been “not planned for now”.
Today the response from their team changed to “Hello, so… Watch this space (very, very soon!)”

If I were you, I would not hold my breath because I doubt they will make it for the Expert Pro ci.
I suspect they will make it for Astra, but I would be very surprised if it is supported on products they are no longer selling.

Agreed. If it does happen, only available to Astra. Not a single chance for the Expert line.

Are we having another wave of enthusiasm for a new update of Devialet's Expert line? Seriously? Is there room for more disappointment? If I had to guess anything about the Expert product, the company's bankruptcy is more likely than an update to the Expert line.

There is only room for disappointment if you have expectations.
I am never buying a product for what it is promising but always and only for what it is actually delivering at the time of acquisition.
In the case of Devialet, the software updates and the hardware upgrades were nice bonuses, but I have always been perfectly happy with what I got and have never expected anything beyond what it was delivering at any given time, including now.

Qobuz Connect is the holy grail in music streaming. At least for the sake of rebuilding its reputation Devialet should make it available to the Expert line.
