Problems with Spotify connect on Expert - need help - haber - 09-Aug-2025 Hi. I have been using Spotify connect on my Devialet Expert 220 Pro for several years, without any problems. Now I suddenly can't connect Spotify to my Devialet. Spotify "sees" my Devialet, but won't connect. I can connect Spotify to other devices in the house. The problem applies regardless of whether I try via my Windows PC, my iPhone, iPad or Android phone. I have tried logging out of Spotify, reinstalling Spotify, restarting my Devialet by unplugging it, but nothing helps. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have also tried to take out the SD card and run the amp in factory settings, and also reinstalled the last firmware. Spotify will still not connect. I have, of course also restartet my router. I even made a new Spotyfy profile, the problem is still the same. Spotify "sees" the amp, but will not connect to it. Hmm, the problem is probably not limited to Spotify connect. Today I tried to stream via the Mconnect app to my Devialet Expert 220 pro. Music stored in my own library, on the NAS, worked just fine. When I try to stream content from Tidal and Qobuz via Mcconnect to Devialet, it doesn't work. Both Spotify, Tidal and Qobuz work fine in our house, but not via Spotify connect or Mconnect to Devialet. Fortunately, I also use Roon and it works great, including content from Tidal and Qobuz. RE: Problems with Spotify connect on Expert - need help - haber - 13-Aug-2025 Then this has been resolved. It was simply a DNS error. I have occasionally been bothered by the amplifier "dropping out" of the network, despite the fact that it is wired directly into the router. To try and solve this, I first set the router to reserve a fixed IP for the amplifier. This helped a lot, but not 100%. I therefore also set the same fixed IP in the configuration of the amplifier, but did not think of that you would then also have to enter DNS manually. I got tips from Devialet to enter e.g. Google DNS 8.8.8.8 and a couple of others, but no matter what I tried to enter in DNS in the configuration, I could not get it to work. I therefore configured the amplifier back to DHCP, and then everything works as it should ![]() In other words, this was a network problem, and not an amplifier problem ![]() |
