Connection issue upon startup - Necro - 12-Aug-2025 Hello everyone, I own a pair of Phantom II 95dB speakers and have been experiencing intermittent connection issues during startup. Despite trying various troubleshooting methods, the problem continues to occur randomly. When I power on both Phantom II units and hear the startup sound effect, they often fail to produce any audio regardless of the selected input—Toslink, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth—even though the music is actively playing. To resolve this, I typically have to power cycle both speakers multiple times before they begin functioning properly. Once the source is successfully connected, the speakers operate reliably across all input modes. However, if my internet connection is disrupted and I need to restart my modem or router, the issue reappears. It can take anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes to re-establish a stable connection, depending on luck that day. Most of the time, I use the Phantom II speakers for watching Netflix, connecting my TV via an HDMI audio extractor and Toslink. Occasionally, I stream music from my phone via Bluetooth. Both speakers are connected via Ethernet cables, and I’ve ensured that the Devialet app and firmware are up to date. I’ve also assigned fixed IP addresses to both units. Has anyone else encountered similar issues? If so, were you able to resolve them? I would greatly appreciate any insights or solutions you can share. Thank you in advance for your help! Additionally, I’ve noticed that when connecting the Phantom II directly to the TV’s Toslink output, the sound quality seems inferior compared to using the HDMI audio extractor. My current TV is a Samsung QN85F—has anyone else experienced this difference in audio quality? |
