Hi there,
Received yesterday an invitation for an exclusive event (17th at the Devialet Paris store) for the launch of a "new sound icon".
The mail gif file is disclosing some Phantom design hints.

I think the 108 model with its all-new three drivers should be impressive.

I think the average customer wlil be quite confused on which model to purchase. First off, the Phantom I 108 is more expensive than the Phantom Ultimate 108 so is the Phantom I "better" than the Phantom Ultimate, which has newer tech?. And the earlier Phantom also comes with a remote control in the box and a titanium tweeter; whereas the Ultimate 108 has neither (no remote and a new-gen aluminum tweeter). Going down the comparison it just comes across as odd and almost arbitrary.
Has anyone downloaded the new App update? The equalizer and sound modes are only for the Ultimate - those features should definitely be available to the earlier Phantoms.... we're left with just controlling a simple bass and treble eq which took years to release.
I personally think it is an awkward release... They should have lowered the prices of the older models, given all models the same level of app update and included the remote with the Ultimate and had a titanium tweeter on the 108 Ultimate. Just my 2 cents.

I wouldn’t ask for a titanium tweeter on the Ultimate, without listening to the Ultimate, first…
There’s probably a reason why Devialet changed the type of mid/high driver tweeter on the Ultimate.
