Is there a system to view or project the Expert's screen? - cescrig - 08-Dec-2025 So, yeah. I don't know if anyone's thought about it. It's a shame not to have the Expert's screen information at my listening position; at most, I can check the volume level with my iPad. For everything else, I have to get up from my seat and practically press my nose against the little circular screen. Perhaps some ingenious mind has designed a device to view that screen from the listening position. A periscope, maybe? There is a Devialet Expert Remote available in the App Store for the iPhone or iPad. It can control on/off, volume and input source, but not the button controls of the actual remote. Better than nothing, but not a whole lot better. There is another app in the Apple Store called Devialet which claims it's for all Devialet home products but it does not include support for the Expert Pro. Interestingly, it does include the Astra. Just one more reason I'm not a fan of Devialet even though I still love my Expert Pro 440. I don‘t use this function any more but it is worth mentioning. If you're using your Expert Pro as a Roon Ready endpoint your Expert Pro will pass info concerning changes it is making to the signal back to Roon and Roon will display that info in its signal path display. That means you will be able to see what the current balance, bass, treble and SAM settings are in the signal path display if you've set them to anything other than zero - zero settings don't display because they don't change the signal and the signal path display only shows the changes you are making. You can't adjust those settings using Roon but you can use your Expert Pro remote to make the changes and see how the settings are changing without moving from your seat. The big limitation here is that it only works for music you're streaming with Roon if you're using your Devialet as a Roon Ready device. If you're not doing that then your Expert Pro is not sending the info regarding volume, balance, bass, treble and SAM settings back to Roon. Even if you do use Roon for streaming you can't access this info in Roon while playing a CD, LP , or using any source other than Roon. It's a feature I use often while using Roon but it's only available while using Roon and using the Expert Pro as a Roon Ready endpoint. |
