Output heavily down on 400's - merlin - 18-Dec-2025
I wondered if anyone had any experience of this.
I've had these for a decade or so and recently have got the message, on occasion Internal Error Code 391 - but only upon start up when cold.
Once they are going they had been fine. I've never had them shut down for instance for overheating (which is behind the code).
Recently the output is down. Doing the maths, the 400's are, at best, putting out 25w per channel but again, not shutting themselves down because of some error. The image is fine. All is good. It is just that my K2's are putting out 65db when it should be 105db given the settings and the sensitivities.
Anyone had this at all?
Sorry to have to ask but I'm disabled and housebound so I'm trying to get as much info as I can from my bed.

have you checked will there any chance you reduced the output in the config file?

If it is not a configuration issue, I would reach out to Devialet for this problem. The issue could be related with the capacitors, specially if one or few got bad could cause this kind of problems and if the capacitors are the root cause potentially the issue will slowly go worst and worst over the time.
Give a try to their support team to see if they could come up with any helpful info. I hope you will find the root cause fast.
