Heat dissipation challenge - Bertie - 28-Dec-2025

I’ve got my 220s stacked because, much as I’d love them side by side, I haven’t the space for them that way. The lower 220 gets really very hot. Like - ouch, that’s almost burning hot, and I’d like to put some distance between the two. I’m hoping someone’s stumbled across an elegant solution that compliments the Devialet’s striking aesthetics whilst offering at least an inch of distance? My best shot so far is some brass coloured spacers from eBay. Any advances in the room?

I use 4 Devialet stacked, with spacers between them (nothing fancy, just wooden cubes). Between the bottom amplifier and the desk I use commercially purchased shock absorbers. This setup almost completely solves the temperature problem.
I also have a small silent fan, mounted on the right side of the amplifiers. I use this only after the temperature of the power sources exceeds 55° (usually in the summer, after a few hours of listening).

I initially used some hockey pucks as they were inexpensive, but eventually switched them out to Isoacoustics Orea series isolation feet. I can’t recall which exact ones, but I use three large-ish ones (possibly “indigo” below the bottom Expert Pro, and three smaller ones (I believe “bronze” above it (with the upper Expert Pro on those). They’re far more aesthetically aligned with the Expert Pros than hockey pucks and provide isolation, which many suggest improves the sound. (For me, I did not notice a big difference).

I got the same challenge - and have been combining practical heat support with isolation / vibration absorption which even improved sound quality. Having tried a number of brands I would recommend the Graphite Audio IC-35 premium, they also look stylish or are hardly to see depending on the placement.

Has been discussed lately:

You can try my solution also, maybe? Is quit cheap.

Well, my £10 solution arrived from the east today. Ripped off the black rubber feet and installed the ‘isolation feet’ finished in glorious gold. Not sure whether it’s because I’d switched the units off for a few hours or if I’ve been subjected to a heavy dose of confirmation bias, but the system’s never been this good. I mean it’s playing out like a completely new rig. Everything’s real tight and the bottom end’s rock solid. The dynamics are killer clean and I seriously think I must have had some loose ends that have become attached during the moving about. I really LOVE this hobby!
