Hi, did you buy them directly from audinate or Devialet? Is there any latency on the sound that you notice? ( to be used with movies )

Thank you!

Rom
I bought the dongles form an AV integrator that works with Devialet for large installations (http://www.sensoriumavr.com/).  I found them before Devialet recommended them through a CEPro article describing their installation at a mansion in NY.

Does Sensorium serve the Suffolk county? I'm assuming you're living in the city or at least not too far from Manhattan.

The owner routinely goes out to the Hamptons, so you should be covered.  I'm not using him for any of the setup/configuration of the Dante components.  I'm just using him to purchase the dongles I need.

Got it. I'm bookmarking this thread so when it is my turn to build out my basement home theater, hopefully early next year, I'll be able to incorporate my current pair of golds.

The Auvitran - Ethernet to Optical Adapter does not appear on the Auvitran website. Are they no longer selling it? If not, is there any alternative @njaiswal ?

Oh that's interesting... I bought 12 adapters last month to finish the installs of the phantoms at my house.  I'm guessing now that Devialet has a Reactor version that has dante built in, that they don't feel they need the adapters any longer...  As part of my installation, I'm using bluesounds to allow the wife and kids to use bluetooth audio from their phones into the Dante network.  To get that to work I purchased an optical to dante converter (https://www.micromedia.ch/?product=digim...ca-tos-poe).  To my surprise, when I configured I found that it does the conversion in both directions!  So if push comes to shove I can use this if I can't purchase additional dongles from Devialet.

Thank you for your reply.  This is what I have found to date.

Auvitran do not list the adpater on their site and now make it on behalf of Devialet.  Devialet, in turn, make it available to professional installers such as Sensorium AVR.  So, we can now buy them from Devialet or Sensorium, if they are in stock.  No stock till Jan.  Sad

I also managed to find the Micromedia converter and it will be easy to order from their website. And it is good that you have tested and used it.  Another option is Radio Design Labs SF-ND2

Hi,

would you know if this is the normal version of Reactor or a special one for installers? An early picture of the CI board for Expert amps had a Audinate chip mounted. It's not there on the production boards however.

Based on what I've been told its a special order.  They asked me if I wanted to switch my reactors to the special version and I declined because I wanted the flexibility to abandon Dante and not lose the investment I made in the reactors.
