Beta-version-of-Devialet-AIR
#21
I have been using my D200 only for around a month so am still figuring out the options... This sounds interesting! How do you get Spotify/Tidal from a tablet (in my case iPad) to the Devialet via AIR? Is this a Windows only option? FYI, my D200 is connected to my network by ethernet (Apple Extreme). Thx, Clark

Hi Clark, for iPad you can try Airfoil or AirServer installed on your Mac. Then use Airplay to stream all music to your Mac which can be connecting via AIR or USB to your D200. I'm not familiar with Apple Extreme, maybe it has an option for your iPad to Airplay to it, too.

For my case, I'm using a Win8 tablet which allows me to use AIR to stream all music to my D200.

Thanks for that! Have just googled these options which look interesting so may well do some experimenting at the w/e... Smile

I use Air 2.13 over ethernet on different Pc's in combination with Windows 8.1. On one Pc it is stable (with dropouts) and on the other Pc it keeps on crashing. So I thought maybe the beta 2.14 will be better, but the same thing happens with 2.14 beta. If I just load it it is fine but as soon as I select my 200 it is gone. Very frustrating.

As a relatively new owner, I haven't tried Air before now and gave the 2.1.4 beta4 version a go on a Windows 8.1 PC over ethernet to a 120. Playing a 16/44 recording of a Radio 3 broadcast (CD Review), it started off fine but after 20 minutes or so, I got popping noises (dropouts, cracks?) that were very noticeable on long sustained notes but much less obvious in more busy types of music. I've not heard anything that I would describe as white noise.

Interesting, have you advised this to Devialet?
