Cheers Ian!
I was lucky enough to see them about thirty years ago at the Donnington Master Of Rock concert.

The car was suspended beneath a helicopter with the band inside, flying over the audience, flashing the lights and revving the engine.  Imagine that happening these days? Health and Safety would have a field day!

Just too good, it turns on and puts on fire any party:

Millenium Funk Party - Various Artists (from Clinton/Parliament/Funkadelic too Kool & the Gang, via Curtis Mayfield and All White Band). CD Rip.

I remember getting this at some store in NYC like 20 years ago... amazing compilation. Sounds good, but a bit l, just a tiny bit flat... Anyway, it's supposed to be heard loud (party levels) and at that level it definitely sounds more than right.

Enjoy!

Henri Dutilleux: Concerto for violin and orchestra "L'Arbre des Songes".  Isaac Stern, Orchestre National de France, conducted by Lorin Maazel. (LP rip)

20th century classical.  A wonderful piece of music, really absorbing.  I have very vivid memories of a spine-tingling live performance by Isaac Stern at Warwick Arts Centre back in the early '90s.  The LP also has Stern performing Peter Maxwell Davies' violin concerto which is very fine although in a rather different mood.

I don't think the helicopter's sponsorship would go down to well in 2017 either.....
