Yes the Devialet and LS50s always were a treat and I guess are even better with SAM.

For many people a Devialet will obviate the need for a sub - even fewer boxes!

Funny thing is that I personally don't have a desire for a sub with my kefls50s - just enjoying them for what they are. I suppose I have the potent bass covered should I feel the need in the main system.

I have a d premier so can't comment on the SAM'd ls50 sound, which intrigues me.

I honestly think the ls50/Dev combo in a small room is unbeatable. If you need mega bass, just add a potent sub.
