The big question will be here: should we risk the upgrade process or not ?
I visited a friend who owns an OdA and a D1000 last Saturday and even for him, who has golden ears and is much used to these two machines, it is very difficult to discern any difference between both! Now that we have the Roon connection working flawlessly with AIR/WiFi, does it make sense to send the OdA for upgrade ?

I would have thought the 'risk' with sending the O'dA back to Devialet for the Pro upgrade is relatively low. Consider that the Od'A comes with a very substantial wooden packing case, why wouldn't you?

I myself haven't kept the wooden crate, they're so huge! So that left me wondering how am I gonna sent the master unit to France?

I'm sure they can send you the standard boxes the rest of us mere mortals use Wink

Well the best sometimes is the enemy of the good. I know what I have and this is very good now with Roon/AIR/WiFi. Don't know if what I will get will be any better...

Yes, I have read it in the past. What I heard last Saturday did not bring the confirmation of this difference. But will see.

I wouldn't want to risk the wooden box.
