True , I mention it only in the title, sorry for this .. Shy

My mistake for not reading the header.  Rolleyes

Have you tried hooking them up to the speaker inputs yet? Perhaps if you started at minimum volume you wouldn't do any harm to the 'phones or the D. I'm interested to hear the results.

driving my 16 ohms duos with my 200 and had the idea to put a 10 ohm 20 watt resistors with banana plugs across the speaker terminals so that the amplifier sees a more normal impedance. surprisingly it did slightly improve the sound. you could try this with your headphones and as already mentioned lower the max output to lowest setting.

no doubt this will work. only question is how low you have to play the dev for a comfortable level with your headphone. below -20 it loses resolution quickly which you will pick up with your highres headphones in a heartbeat.

only way to know is to try. good luck. let us know how it goes

Thanks for reply.. Note that if I lower to 30w on 6 ohm with Configurator ,, If you connect the Audeze 200 ohm, the equivalent power on that impedance between one to two watts, I am convinced that work without problem. But I don't know  affects to Devialet high impedance at the output speaker, I prefer to wait for the official reply Devialet support before play..

Anyway publish here the answer if someone is helpful..

Dear Sir,

It seems that you did not receive my previous messages.

There is of course no restriction to connect your Audeze LCD-4. However, Even by limiting the amplifier's power, you need to be careful not to put too much power by setting the volume level too high.

In conclusion, our system can do it even if we would recommend to use the pre-amplified output.

Best Regards,
Gomiki,
just do as I suggested. put a 10 ohm power resistor accross the binding post. the dev does not sound good into high impedances. even into the 16 ohm loads of my duos it sound is compromised. few days ago one of my audio buddies came over. first we listened with the resistors accross the speaker terminals. then i removed them. he looked at me surprised and said sounds a lot more natural with the resistors inserted.

the dev is said to be able to handle loads from 2 to 16 ohms which it can but probably sounds best with impedances somewhere in the middle of that range!

Maybe I should buy a box like this and adapt internal resistance to the impedance of my Headphone ...
