Devialet 120 packaging dimensions
#1
Hello.
Do any of you know the size/weight of the complete package for a Devialet 120? I'm thinking of going down to Paris and "import" my Devialet 120 (or 200) to Sweden. Today you have to pay approx. 5940 Euro (54500 SEK) which is just crazy.

Hello
This is really easy to transport. When You buy it in Paris shop You will get Devialet nice bag in which You can put Devialet black package;-). It is perfect to transport personally. I think You can try take it with Yourself to airplane as a handbagage. But better ask about it in Your airlines. Weight it is around 7-8 kilo.

If You prefer send it with outer box this is how it is packaged:

On this photo there are 3 Devialets ready for shipping. Quality of this outer box is very low IMO. Good for just one shipping.

Paris is a nice place during Autumn. Have a nice tour!

Ok, thanks. Judging from the pictures the black devialet box seems to be ~ 60x45x8 cm. I guess thats a bit large for a hand luggage.

I must admit I would not want my new Devialet thrown around by a typical airport baggage handler! Perhaps bring a vey large suitcase stuffed with bubble wrap and hide the Devialet in the middle? Or drive, or go by train or better still, check with the airline regarding hand baggage rules? There are contingencies for musicians transporting high value instruments and similar.

By the way, my 250 box is approximately 630 x 490 x 90mm

Or, take the Devialet out of its box, the amp on its own is within handbags dimensions, and stick the big packing box in the hold. Security might suspect the Devialet is some kind of explosive device though.
