For a while I have been looking to get something better than the iFi to power my microRendu. Having looked at many options I simply could not make up my mind, I can't remember the last time I have been so undecided about anything. Anyway, I have found the user reviews on of the LPS-1 on Computer Audiophile quite compelling. OK, it is easy to dismiss the regulars on CA as being a bit of an UpTone Audio fan club, and yes there has been much hype about the LPS-1, buts every single comment without exception has appeared to be positive, many very positive.
Anyway, decision made. I have ordered an LPS-1. It's quoted as being November 18th for shipment. Customs hassle considered, this should just about make it in time for a nice Christmas present, maybe. Please note my cunning play on the currency exchange markets, ordering kit from the USA when the British pound is only at a 31 year low to the US Dollar, I'll look pretty smart folks when it hits a 50 year low!
