Usually from about -20 to -10. Sometimes into the positive numbers for quiet classical. This is in a small room at quite low volume levels (neighbours house attached!).

I'm listening in the range of 20-0.
I always thought my "volume numbers " are way higher than most. Some how I thought you all set the volume to 25 max. My room is large about 1000 feet ( 100sqm) 4.5 - 7.3 meter ( 14-24 feet) . and my speakers aren't too efficient
I wish my 800 had double the output

-15, -3, 0 or even ... +...  dB on their Devialet dial / s   ...  ?

Usually around -25, but when I'm listening loud, almost never over -10.

Thanks Axel ...

hmmm !!  .. with my D400 & 802 D3 in a large room, i.e. 5.8 metres wide (19-Ft) X 9.15 metres long (30-Ft), I'm doing -3dB and am wondering if its too much OR do I need to move to D800 / 1000 Pro ?

I think in this case it's got a lot to do with room dimensions. I use the same amp. as you, but my listening room is much smaller than yours at 7.5m x 3.5m x 2.5m. Is -3dB your loudest listening setting? If so, I wouldn't worry about it as I read here that one of the guys gets up to,+10dB!

Unless i am using the app on the i pad i don't know, the amps are out of line of site, so it always set by ear, this depends on the time of day and the mood i'm in.
Usually during the day while the wife and our neighbours are out at work i turn it up and let it go, then from five pm on wards it's down, to where we can converse and enjoy the evening.

I have a 200 and J. M. Reynaud Opus speakers, and usually play at -25dB, very rarely louder than -20dB.
