He ended up with the following cables which apparently work. No need to solder AFAIK.

I just talked to my local Devialet dealer with some tips and as he was in a hurry, he recommended me to look into global cache products.

This device apparently allows to connect with the devialet via wifi and a serial cable:

I understand the concept. But I do not understand how to configure and send the commands to the device. And also I have no clue how this can be combined with harmony remote.

Anyone here who might understand all this better?
