Can SAM be set but default to disabled?
#1
As per the title really, I'm using SAM less and less but like the option sometimes.

The question is can it be set for the appropriate speakers and percentage, but default to off (disabled) at startup?

I'd like the convenience but can't be bothered to turn it off every time.

I've had a tinker with the Configurator and no, I don't think it's possible. I guess the best way is to designate one of the buttons on the remote to toggle SAM on or off.

Somewhere I have read on the forum that SAM is enabled even when you have it on 0%, so only option would be to set it off in the configurator....

Thanks all. As I suspected.

I have a toggle on the remote but can't be bothered to wait for it to startup and then toggle it off. So SAM's saying goodbye for a bit, but will put a suggestion in to Devialet for the startup setting it be off.

This has annoyed me too as I prefer SAM off most of the time but occasionally on. Disabling it has become part of the pre-listening ritual!

I'm actually happy it's the way it is. I can have a play with SAM on/off but if I forget to turn it on, at least I know it will be on again the next time the amps are turned on. That'll stop my missus from blowing up my woofers. She loves bass....
