A couple of weeks ago got an ex-demo Devialet 120 to replace a Puresound 2a3 valve amplifier. Running on SW 10.02. Loving it so far.

Loudspeakers: Guru QM10 Two monitors

Loudspeaker cables: Naim NACA 5

Sources: Marantz 6005 CD player and Tidal / Chromecast Audio

To arrive in the next weeks: Minidsp Dirac DDRC-22D digital room correction processor.

So, after 6 months, what are your feednbacks with the DDRC-22D ?

Congratulations! I had also bought an ex-demo 120, and was very happy with the sound, looks and controls. Compared to all the large black components with heat sinks, the Devialet is something else.

I like it, but the improvement is not as conclusive as I had expected. My living room is overly "reverberant" and the Dirac certainly does make listening less fatiguing. Solo piano sounds much better (clearer, more open). But in some cases music can sound thinner. Nirvana´s "Smells Like Teen Spirit" has less emotion; Cobain´s voice feels more distant. I didn´t have any problems with bass, so the gain in this regard is modest.

Probably I should make more measurements and play with the curves, since I feel there is still some room for improvement.  But in any case, the Dirac will not change the basic character of the loudspeakers. Now I´m asking myself if loudspeakers with "waveguides" (providing more directional mid- and high frequencies) would be a better solution for my living room (WAF allows no acoustic treatment).
