Spark significantly drains iPhone battery
#1
I had a pretty good experience in terms of battery consumption when air-playing from my phone to an Air Zeppelin.

With Spark my battery recharging frequency has gone through the roof. I get that in the Phantom config there are two apps working simultaneously to stream to Dialog (first one being Apple Music). However, in my views, it doesn't justify such a sensitive energy consumption.

Has anyone experienced the same problem?

Same problem on any platform I guess: Windows, Mac OS X ... Not a very energy economic app, but the same can be said about the Phantom itself.

Phantom's app is not native. It is made using QT framework that allows them to share code across all the platforms, but makes the app less efficient and they could not do anything about it.

Could also be due to the heavy network traffic from Devialet equipment.
JRiver v25 (Windows) >> 220Pro/CI >> PMC Twenty5.23 + twin KEF KC62 subs. One White Phantom.

I support the idea regarding heavy network traffic.

Also, stopped using Spark and just airplayed from Apple Music / other players. Other than the night mode, I have seen no value in using Spark
