Yet but now Roon needs to support it to really enjoy it. It's been a while that Roon is on the market but still only support Tidal as online streaming audio service. Hope to get more support. Qobuz is welcome (but they don't get it themselfs i understood and won't open up their database) so Spotify hifi would be perfect.

Yes, it will nice to have Spotify Hifi supported on Roon. But, it seems very unlikely this can happen.

I'm sure it's in Roon's interest to add Spotify to their list of supported streamers given their (Spotify's) massive customer base.

I think it is more of a case of Spotify not wanting to talk to Roon.  OK, you could argue that it should be in Spotify's interest to get Roon integration to boost subscription numbers.  The trouble is, Spotify have over 40 million subscribers, with over 30 million paying subs.  Spotify are more interested in keeping their own ecosystem, I do not believe there are anywhere near enough Roon subscribers to get Spotify's interest and change this stance.  A shame, but it is what it is.

I do not know how integration works. Who should take care of it, Spotify, Roon or both?

That's a good point.

I've just seen in this morning's news that Spotify now have fifty million users, so it looks like they have plenty of momentum.

But they still losses a lot of money every year......In 2015 they lost almost 800 000 000 SEK (Swedish krona) 2016 is going to be better but one can only wonder how long the investors will continue to pump in money.

Companies don't need to make money anymore. It's the new way thing are done - give everything away free, take over the whole market, float on the stock market at huge values, make founders billionaires, then start charging, drift into obscurity, repeat.
