The amplification of the CYP is sufficient to connect directly an iphone for example?

I use it on the regular headphone output from my normal, old, Pioneer amp. I set the Phantom volume "a bit high" and can thus control the volume using the volume dial on the amp. Obviously this decreases sound q, but for day-to-day background music, it's perfect.

DJM 800 has a digital output. Convert it, as i do, to optical and you will have no quality loss.
