LFE channel Phantoms
#1
Hi all,

I have a question regarding the lfe channel in movies in combination with the phantoms.

Is there a way to reroute the LFE channel to the phantoms? Now the LFE channel is lost. I know you can dit it with av receivers.

Thanks,

It's easy with an HTPC and a good Media Player to re-route channels or mix them into other channels. However, in most cases, if you tell your equipment that you haven't got a subwoofer, then it will usually mix it into the fronts anyway.

(Personally, I use JRiver to route the LFE to my rear-channel Phantoms, but that's a complex and not very reliable method)
JRiver v25 (Windows) >> 220Pro/CI >> PMC Twenty5.23 + twin KEF KC62 subs. One White Phantom.

When playing movies with my blu ray player the bass seems to be a bit lacking. Would it be possible to use JRiver and send LFE to the phantoms in a 2.0 set up? If so, how? Smile
