iphone iOS app won't stay connected to 220 pro
#1
My Devialet iphone app will not stay connected to my 220 pro. I have the wifi enabled OK, the devialet reports the wifi is connected to my router with a valid IP address. When I start the iphone app I get a brief connection with the volume level and the correct input selected, but after 5 seconds or so the connection is lost and the app reports 'no devialet found' and never recovers.

I have tried with just the wifi, just the ethernet cable and both, but still the same result. The firmware is the latest version 10.1.0.

If it helps AIR is also not working well, plays for about about 30 seconds or so then breaks up and drops out never to recover. I have the latest version of AIR on my laptop.

Can anyone suggest a solution as I'd like to use the Iphone app to see what the volume level and input is without having to get up and check the display on the devialet.

First question, is your Devialet connected via WIFI or ethernet?

If ethernet is it directly to a router or to a switch?

For your laptop and iPhone, what router are you using and are you connected via a 5GHZ band?

Is your laptop running MacOS, or Windows?

Have you rebooted everything, phone, router, amps, etc.

Are you using DHCP?

I have tried both WiFi and Ethernet connection to the Devialet. When I used the Ethernet connection the Devialet was connected directly to the router, there is no switch. The router is an ADSL broadband router provided by my ISP Talk Talk. I don't think its using the 5Ghz band.

My Laptop is an HP Elitebook running Windows 7 64 bit.

Yes, I rebooted the iPhone and the Devialet, but not the router.

I am using DHCP

I always have this issue. When I disable > enable wifi on my iPhone it immediately has a connection. D220 connected via ethernet over high reliable network. No difference in D220 on fixed IP or DHCP. No issues also with AIR streaming whatsoever or with any other device.

I might suggest the following:

Use an ethernet connection to the Devialet, that is more reliable.

Run CCleaner on your PC and remove AIR. Here is a link to their site and you can use the free download:

Reinstall AIR on the PC and configure it to Always stream automatically.

As someone suggested, then reboot everything. Router first, then Devialet, the Windows PC and then iPhone.

Then knock on wood. But crazy as this sounds, it might help.

I have experienced similar long time ago. I don't remember how I did fix it.
I suggest setting fixed ip addresses and big enough Air buffer (1 sec).

Last night I tried re-booting the router and the devialet. I connected with ethernet to the devialet. I restarted my iphone. And still the same problem.

I tried turning off the wifi on the iphone and then turning it back on again as suggested, but that does not work either.

It's very frustrating. I'm wondering if there can be a fault on the networking card in the devialet.

I know my network is fine, I have been using the same setup for more than two years to stream in hi res from Qobuz via my Logitech Transporter and Logitech Media Sever with the Qobuz plugin. It will stream faultlessly in 24/96.

I can stream from the Transporter to the Devialet via the XLR input from Qobuz without any dropouts at all.

It seems ridiculous to me that the devialet cant keep a wireless connection to an iphone on the same network. the packet data rate of the connection to do that can't be anywhere near that used when streaming at 24 bit 96Khz.

Hello, install the app "Fing" from the App Store. With Fing one sees whether the Devialet connection with LAN or WiFi has and the IP's!
