Any news / rumours on when EQ will be availble?

Any news / rumours on when EQ will be availble?

Been playing with a dspeaker anti-mode 2.0 - will be very interesting to see how it fairs against something like that

Or maybe it will be just a bass / treble lift button

Who knows?

If you are awaiting a knight in shining armour to slay the Bass Giant and/or the treble screeching Witch then there is a glimmer of hope in the expectant integration of Roon into the Core infinity board and beyond that, perhaps, into the Phantoms.

More practically, I know you have taken the better option.  Your solution is here today, well respected, thoroughly debugged and, I presume, eminently flexible.

Btw - the Phantom immersive theatre provides EQ but it is courtesy of another audio specialist in the form of a Xilica UNO. An indication, perhaps, that Devialet do not yet have the skill or worse, desire.

By the way Devialet are I wouldn't expect it for another year. They believe they have the best sound, as it is, with no tweaks. So for them to introduce an EQ would mean stepping back on that claim and allowing others to say what is their best sound.

I would love to see it someday but I have not got my hopes up. My room is not 100% ideal and so for a few lines of the frequency range I could do some really good tweaking, but I'd like it to be native and onboard Phantom for best results. But we will see.

Their support did tell me themselves that EQ was coming, so it would seem odd for it to completely disappear from their plans

But also not unbelievable Smile

I'd LOVE to believe it, but they've been saying that for a year now and as much as I want to believe it I have no hope for it being anytime soon. Sad
Maybe they just want to get it PERFECT before they come out and release it. Or they're trying to go down some Sonos pathway and have our iPhone's 'tune' the speakers to our rooms, haha! (That I could see taking a few years to perfect.)

They just need to buy a room correction device and stick the dialogue inside it!!

Well, that hasn't been Devialet's form to date - on the software side at least - but maybe things are changing....
