Yes, thanks for that I confirmed this with an email exchange, there is a 5" coaxial mid tweeter, so I ordered a pair and a Dialog, stand and remote not yet available.

Hi Frank - would be very keen to hear your views on Phantom Both in comparison to your current setup, and from the point of view of whether - if you were starting again - would a dual Phantom set up represent a competitive proposition, in comparison to "traditional" components. Difficult, I know!

Well I am not one for wasting too much time evaluating SQ, I tend to have a painful period of checking things out to my own satisfaction followed by years of music enjoyment. Prior to buying the Devialet I had had the same system for >10 years and some of it longer than that. I did some DAC evaluations from which I concluded (in my opinion) the difference between properly engineered DACs is very much less than the difference in SQ between different CDs. That is one step leading to the D-Premier and stopping using a much more expensive conventional system.
Anyway, I will make extensive listening comparisons with my current systems, but 2 things of note, firstly I have found refining the perfect room position and toe in for best bass and minimal reflection effects in the mid takes months, and my Goldmund speakers are almost certainly in the best place for bass in my main room and weigh >120kg each, so I won't be moving them...
Secondly I mainly listen to the Devialet 800 through Tune Audio Anima speakers which produce a greater sound level with less than 1 of the 800 watts than the silver Phantom does flat out, so I would be surprised if it matched the musical dynamics on Mahler's 2nd symphony, for example Wink
OTOH I believe strongly in the quality of the Devialet engineering and am expecting that within their design envelope they are likely to give the best sound available.
Maybe I am going to have to bite the bullet and rip/tag a few more of my favourite classical CDs Sad

Just a thought - there are various companies that specialise in ripping classical CDs ensuring that they are tagged in a way that's consistent and meets your specific requirements.
IMac macOS 10.15.3 (no link to Devialet Sad ) / MacBook Pro Retina OS X 10.14.4 / Linn LP12 / Devialet 200 Wilson Benesch Discovery.
Qobuz Desktop Latest Version / Audirvana 3.2.18 / Audirvana Remote / iTunes 12.9 / AIR 3.0.4 / Wi-Fi / FW 8.1.0 / SAM 50%

I expect people are waiting for reviews (for whatever reason).

Maybe. Also, I suspect many want the opportunity to actually hear one first. Another thought, I suspect that the majority of people in the target market probably haven't even heard of it yet!

Charlemagne - am I right that you have ordered a Dialog but not a Phantom? I had a fairly early order for a Dialog, and I have heard nothing whatsoever from Devialet, although I can see on the Devialet order page that my order is delayed about 7 weeks from what they originally advised.
