For the more budget oriented who already have a decent Phono Preamp this one might be of interest.

True, no RCA but analog line input via 1/8” (3.5mm) cable. I have not tested it, but my understanding is that the Super DAC could convert this signal to the optical out S/PDIF. Maybe someone has already tried?

I have found this. And I spoke to Uwe Beis. He's a great guy and his unit seems the best out of all I've seen. He sends the assembled units too. I've used the upgraded chip CS5381 to buy. It's seems cheap and the specs is really awesome.

Also I've heard fantastic results from it. Quite few audiophiles recommend this over a $1500 solution. It may not be the prettiest. But it seems do a heck a job coupled with very high end phono stages.

I have ordered one of these http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Pro-2-Univers...Swv0tU60zF

It's local  (Aus) so easy for me. 96Khz and it has 12v power. I have a LH Labs 12v linear PSU I can use if I don't like the SMPS it comes with.

Will see how it goes.

You could use what i use.
Musical Fidelity M1-SDAC. It's a digital preamp/ Dac. It has phono analog inputs and also crucially an optical digital output which you can feed straight into the Phantom. You still have to use Spark for volume or buy the Phantom remote.

P. S. Don't confuse this with the similarly named M1-DAC.
Synology DS215 NAS (2x WD RED 1Tb) > Virgin Superhub 3 > HP Pavilion X360 laptop > Phantom Reactor 600 > JRiver MC25 > JRemote > A&K AK70mkii DAP > Supra Cat8 Ethernet cable > Sony WH-1000XM4 > jar of cream v2
