Denon1930 dvd sacd coax out to dev200
#1
Hi, a friend who owns the same sacd player as mine highly encouraged me to test the coax out of my player direct to coax in in my dev200.
I firstly bought my first sacd pink floyd dark side of the moon( 6 channels ???!!! No idea what this mean); plugged everything, but devialet don t play it.
In the configuration dig1 and optic inputs activated.
In dig1 i found 92 kbps as default and changed to 192 kbps.
Dev don t play it neither in coax in or optical in.
Dev play the sacd only in analogue in though!
Am i missing smthg , please help

Manual of the Denon 1930 says on a page 13 that "Super Audio CD sound is not output from the DIGITAL OUT jacks."

This was just a lucky guess why it doesn’t work. I have never heard of a SACD player that could output digital signal.

See page 32 of the manual:

LPCM SELECT (Default: OFF) • Set to ON when outputting in 48kHz (or 44.1kHz).
• This function is available only on digital outputting of a disc record- ed in 96kHz (or 88.2kHz).
• Sounds of the DVD-Audio which exceed 96kHz (or 88.2kHz) will be output as 96kHz (or 88.2kHz) even if LPCM SELECT is set to OFF.
• This function is not effective for the HDMI sound output.

When playing disc with copyright protection
• The sound will be down sampled at 48kHz (44.1kHz), even if you set to OFF

There's a reason for SACD players not to output the full digital DSD format and that's copy right protection. When you use HDMI the player will verify that it's connected to a TV before playing.

For OPPO players (103/203) you can purchase an audioboard (Audiopraise) that replaces the anolog output board in the OPPO, with this board in place you can have the full resolution output. I have a OPPO 103 with this board, works flawless.
Main Set: Aavik U-300, Magico V3, Wadia 381i, Ayre DX-5 dsd, NBS Black label / Omega 1, Crystal Dreamline, Cardas Clear, Ansuz Ceramic, Aurender N100H, purpose build rack Bubinga wood (175kg rack only)

Second set: Devialet 200, Raidho X1, JL Audio F110 Subs (2x), Oppo BDP103D with audiopraise board, Melco N1A, Uptone Regen, and lots of Ansuz goodies
