Is there a way to run Expert 120 in Dual mono configuration with an Export Pro 140?

The short answer is no, because the firmware is not the same in both units, so they won’t work as master and companion. You could consider getting the 120 upgraded to a 140 pro.

If the remote from 120 is working with 140, then this may work:

There is no way you can do this with a 120.

The 120 is the only amplifier in the lineup that cannot be configured as a mono block by bridging the two channels.

Hi Jean,

Thank you for your response. Just curious to know what would be the specific reason for this. I am just wondering; if the 140 configured with a digital out and feed to 120’s digital input, wouldn’t it work? At least just to double the output, in case if it doesn’t do the true separation. Remote could be an issue but I guess 140 remote can be used as the controller in this case. Any thoughts? May be this is a very lame idea yet interested to know how it worked out if anyone tried.

It's not that simple.

In case you've described there would be some latency / phase shift between channels. Minor one - but more than enough to be useless for sttereo.

Also, you cannot bridge it - you could only use one channel.
