Expert 140 Pro Max Temp?
#1
Hello, recently installed in cabinet and unit is slightly warmer than when not in cabinet. I could install a vent fan but would prefer not to if operating temp is fine. Is there a spot on exterior where I should measure temp and what would max temp be at that location?
TIA

Does the 140 have integrated temperature sensors?
The warmest my 220 has reported was 47° C
To display it you need to long press the "Tone" button on the remote, then tap the same button untill you reach the sensor screen.
Unsure about max temperatures. Adding some vents in the cabinet might be enough, even without fans.

"Temperatures going up to 65°C are absolutely OK." - Check Q&A section here:

The 140 has internal temperature sensors which you display in the same way described in post #2.

A few years ago I ask Mathieu Pernot (Devialet customer service) about temperatures.
He stated that most Experts run at 45-48°C.
Several forum members have reported temperatures

Put something underneath. When I put Isoacoustics MiniPucks ($99 for 8 pieces) the temperature felt down for some 3-4 degrees. Btw, my 220 CI never went over 48 .. with mini pucks, not over 44 or 45

Partially in topic. I have two d premier in dual mono, everyime I stop listening, I switch off the master (no idle mode). I realized yesterday that the companion, was running still hot after hours after switching off.
It means it remained on even the master was off. Is that normal?

This is a known limitation: master is off, but the companion is in stand-by. If you want both to be off, then you need to use trigger cable.
